Disney Competition Weekend Results
November 15, 2010

The Beyer Band & Color Guard had an eventful - and warm - weekend in Orange County, spending Friday at Disneyland enjoying a break from rehearsals and school, then performing at the 18th annual Trabuco Hills Tournament in the Hills in Mission Viejo, CA.

Beyer scored 84.6, their highest score of the season so far, and placed 2nd overall in the competition to Los Alamitos High School, the defending 2009 WBA A/AA/AAA Champions, who took home the sweepstakes trophy along with high percussion, general effect, color guard and music. Beyer took the high visual trophy, showing that their tireless efforts and recent focus on visual cleaning is definitely paying off.

While the band and color guard felt that overall it wasn't their strongest performance and they could have done much better, they were pleased with the progress of the show and excited going into championships week in Fresno.

The band’s next competition is Saturday, November 20 at Koligian Stadium in Fresno, CA. The event is the WBA Class Championships, with the combined Grand Championships to be held at Fresno City College on Sunday, November 21. These will be the last two competitions for the Beyer Band & Guard for the fall 2010 season.
