Beyer Shines at Preview of Champions
Congratulations to the Beyer Band and Guard for an outstanding performance on Saturday at the 16th Annual Preview of Champions in Merced!
Beyer scored a season high of 83.25 in AAA competition and won the Sweepstakes award for A/AA/AAA classes.
Competition this week in AAA came from Clovis East, Madera South and Madera high schools, with each of them looking better and better as the season progresses. Thanks to hard work on the part of the Beyer students, excellent instruction and unwavering support from the band boosters, the Beyer Band and Guard program continues to come out on top!
Band Director Marcos Rivera said, “They did a really good job tonight. I’m proud of them. They’re retaining all the information and it’s showing.”
The band’s next competition is Saturday, November 13 at Trabuco Hills High School in Mission Viejo.
