Successful Premier Performance
Congratulations to the 2010-2011 Beyer Band and Color Guard on the premier performance of their fall show, "Connectivity." An estimated 250 family and friends showed up for the Welcome Back Barbecue and performance on the band field at Beyer High School. The show was directed by Drum Major Erica Engel and encompassed three full minutes of this year’s program. Band Director Marcos Rivera told the crowd that it was the first time in roughly 12 years that members of the band and color guard had completed that much of the show during the two-week summer band camp. He complimented the students on their hard work and dedication to excellence, a hallmark of the Beyer music program.
Special thanks go to Beyer Principal Dan Park and Modesto Mayor Jim Ridenour who also attended the performance. We appreciate their support! The band’s first competition is the Modesto Invitational (MIV) on October 9 at Johansen High School. Tickets purchased from Beyer Band Boosters will help fund band and guard activities this year. Look for a link on the website when tickets become available.
