Overview

Fundraisers have a specific percentage that will go into the student’s “account”. This money can only be used for trips or other student expenses.

Money Deposit Rules

A Great deal of fundraising money is processed through the band and guard program To keep your account current and to use the treasurer’s time properly, it is crucial that we follow a few important guidelines when turning in fundraising product and money. When turning in money please follow these guidelines:

  1. Put all deposits in the secured deposit slot located on the Director’s office door. (“The Box”).
  2. Put all deposits in one of our new PAYMENT ENVELOPES. Please place student name and purpose on check memo line.
  3. Please make all checks out to: “Beyer Band Boosters”
  4. All forms of deposit must be by check. If you are paying in cash, make sure you pay the Director, Assistant Director, or Treasurer in person and get a receipt. Have them initial the payment envelope that the amount was verified. This is for your protection!
  5. Do not give money to another student or staff member! Payment Envelopes are available outside the band office door.
  6. You may also pay online using Paypal. Payments online are charged an extra 3% surcharge, so please add accordingly to ensure your correct fees are paid. If you do not add 3%, the remaining amount will show in your statement.

Policies/Refunds

No “fundraised money” can be refunded. If students have an excess of money in their account they may donate that money to another student or to the general fund. Any money left in an account at the end of the year will be automatically put into the student’s account for the following year.

What Happens When a Student Leaves the Program?

Graduating seniors or students transferring to another school may choose to donate their money to another student or else excess money will automatically go to the General Fund. Students quitting the program will not have any authority over transferring their money.

Account Status/Statements

From time to time, the BBB Treasurer will prepare and hand out statements of accounts for each student in the program. If during the year you have a question about the status of a student account, please put a note in “the box”.
