Eddie Castro attended Johansen High School in Modesto, CA, where he got his start as a dancer and color guard performer. One of his inspirations to join color guard was actually Beyer World Guard's "Images of St. Joan of Arc" show in 1995. After high school, Eddie continued to pursue the performing arts. He performed with Riverbank Independent Winterguard in 2001, Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets in 2002, Fever Drum and Bugle Corps in 2003, Santa Clara Vanguard in 2004, San Jose Raiders Winterguard from 2002-2005, and Santa Clara Vanguard Winterguard from 2006-2008. He was also part of the 2007 Vanguard Dance Company under Carol Abohatab. Eddie has taught and choreographed for many high school and junior high color guard programs in the Northern California area. He is currently enrolled with Elite Progressive Academy, and is also working towards a degree in Nursing.
