Auditions for the Fall 2009 Beyer High School drum line and front ensemble will continue on Monday, July 6th 5-8 PM. The audition process will involve group rehearsal (no individual auditions), and it is only for the purpose of making placements within the ensemble. We have 15-17 spots available in the drum line, and 9-12 in the front ensemble. If you are not offered a spot in the percussion section, you will be highly encouraged to march in the band on a wind instrument, especially if you have experience. All Summer percussion audition and rehearsal dates are on the calendar, and feel free to email Nate Bourg if you have questions.

Summer Mini-Camp 2009

The Percussion Mini-Camp will be July 13th, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, and July 14th, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. All battery and front ensemble members are required to attend. We will begin rehearsing the Fall 2009 show music, as well as solidify our technique program in preparation for band camp.

All Summer percussion dates are on the calendar, and feel free to email Nate Bourg if you have questions.

April 20th, 2009

The Beyer High School Winter Percussion returned yesterday from a very successful trip to Dayton, OH for the WGI World Championships. They placed 4th in their round in prelims with a solid performance, followed by an 8th place overall finish on Saturday at the Open Class Finals. This makes it 4 out of 4 for the Winter Percussion making WGI World Championship finals. Check out the trip blog posted by Blue Crew dad Mike Wade. Special thanks to Director Blair Williams and parents Bruce Tidrick, Karen Tidrick, Susan Taylor, Jeff States, Thelma States, Laura Harker, Charlie Christensen, and Katrina Whitler for being an awesome chaperone crew! Overall it was a great trip with mostly great weather, and Beyer represented California extremely well! Congratulations to the students and staff for another awesome season. Stay tuned for pictures and videos on the website, and don't forget to check out the trip blog.
