Overview

The Beyer Band Boosters (BBB) raise money throughout the year to assist in providing funding for the programs. Our annual budget is over $100,000. This means that our per-student spending is very high compared to many other band/guard programs, and much higher than many other on-campus activities.

Our booster program has a long-standing tradition of excellence and fundraising ability. There are no required fees to participate in any aspect of the Beyer Band & Color Guard program, but we do ask that all participating families help us raise money however they can. The bottom line: each student who participates is given the same great experience regardless of their family's willingness or ability to pay.

Handbook

The Handbook details all the financial information about the program and what we ask of our families in terms of fundraising, volunteering and financial support.

Color Guard

Items needed by the color guard members (other than what's stated in the handbook) will be spelled out by the staff. We do not require the color guard members to purchase anything as part of their participation, but many choose to buy certain accessories so they have their choice of style and comfort/fit. If any parents have questions about color guard, please contact us.

Travel

The band and guard often has opportunities to travel during the year. During fall 2011, we are planning one overnight trip to Southern California for WBA Championships (November 18-20, 2011). See travel page for more information.

Winter Percussion 2012

Students who participate in Winter Percussion are receiving more benefits from the program than those who only participate in fall and concert season. Therefore, we ask that these families help raise a larger share of money if they are willing and able. Details can be found in the handbook.

All interested students must fill out the Winter Percussion Interest Survey prior to attending the first rehearsal!

Winter Guard 2012

Students who participate in Winter Guard are receiving more benefits from the program than those who only participate in fall and concert season. Therefore, we ask that these families help raise a larger share of money if they are willing and able. Details can be found in the handbook.
